COLORADO RIVER CANOE TRIP 2005
WHEN : Leave Friday October 21, Return Sunday evening Oct 23, 2005
WHERE : Needles Calif to Lake Havasu
I-15 North to I-40, I-40 East to Needles
This section of the Colorado River winds thru scenic Topoc Gorge, site of
ancient rock paintings / petroglyphs. Then thru Mohave Canyon.
Most of the trip will be in the Havasu National Wildlife Reserve.
The trip will end under the London Bridge.
Camp Friday night at Park Moabi (just south of Needles CA
Camp Saturday night at Windsor Beach on Lake Havasu Arizona
We end up on Sunday under the London Bridge near the south end of Lake Havasu

Topoc Gorge & Mohave Canyon
Castle Rock Bay (end of day 1 canoeing)
Lake Havasu & London Bridge (Sat. night & Sunday morning)

NOTES : Spend Friday night at Park Moabi Campground in Needles.
Spend Saturday night at Windsor Beach on Lake Havasu
Head home from Lake Havasu Sunday afternoon
FEES : Fee for this trip will be $95 (plus travel money * ) per person.
This covers canoe rental, campground fees, gas, and food.
A non refundable deposit of $50 must be paid by Oct 6.
The remaining $45 (refundable until Oct 15) will be due by Oct 13, 2005
*Travel money - each Scout should also carry personal cash for 2 stops at
fast food (1 fast food stop on the drive up, 1 stop on the way back) as this
will be a long drive (approx. drive time : 5-6 hours each way).
